The Big Blue Spotlight

      The quarterbacks of the defense, or more commonly, the inside linebackers. ILBs are the middle of the defense, having to know how to rush the passer, play the run, and cover during passing downs. Being an ILB isn't easy, and it's a position the Giants have struggled with in the past. However, this past year was the group's best I've seen in a while. They are a great young group of 3 guys and they will continue to grow for next season.

      We've covered the interior of the defensive line, however that isn't all that goes into a front seven. Next we have the outside of the defensive line which includes defensive ends and outside linebackers, otherwise known as edge rushers. They are called edge rushers due to the fact they normally play on the edge of the line and rush at the QB. The Giants have a nice group of young talent on the outside so this will be a fun topic to cover.

      The interior of the defensive line is where your biggest and strongest lineman go. The guys who tower over the rest in stature and power. Underlooked by some, this is a position you should never overlook because they can make a QB's life very horrible. Luckily for the men in blue, they have one of, arguably the best interior defenders in the league right now, and this post will cover a lot about him.
