Wide Receiver

The Wide Receiver, the playmakers of the offense, the guys who gain chunk yardage. Wide Receivers are everywhere nowadays, with plenty of quality receivers coming out of college every year. Just this past year we saw rookies like Puka Nacua and Tank Dell put up great numbers despite being rookies. Similar things have happened in the past few years with players like Justin Jefferson and Jamaar Chase. These pass catchers are essential for any offense to function. Recently the Giants have struggled in this department but it seems this group is on the rise. Let's take a dive into a WR group with no clear dominant X receiver.

The Running Back, some would call them the "workhorse" of the offense. When you need a go-to on first down, they are the player you go to, or at least they were. Over the last half-decade, the value of the running back position has changed immensely. Going from a very valued position to now a position that is easily replaceable in executives' eyes. The Giants went through this issue last year with Star RB Saquon Barkley. Saquon was coming off his best year in recent memory but the Giants didn't want to pay him what he was asking for and thus gave him the franchise tag. Other running backs in the league were given the same thing, but this won't be about them, this is about the Giants' running back room.

Daniel Jones has been with the Giants since 2019 when he was drafted by the New York team. He sat behind Giants legend Eli Manning for a few games and then he snagged the starting job and hasn't lost it since. Jones has had a bumpy road with the Giants that includes turnover issues, a playoff birth and win, and then another bad season. Jones was sidelined early in the year with a neck injury in week 5, which kept him out until week 9 against the Raiders. Un...

Intro Post

Hello everyone, this will be my second ever blog as well as my second blog about football. Last time I made a blog just rounding up the performances of every team in the NFC East Biweekly, this time I will instead being going in depth on each position group of my favorite team, the New York Giants. What that entails is a wrap up of the play of that position throughout the past NFL season, contracts and stats, and then a look at the future of said position for the Giants. The first post will be about the QB position and will be posted in a couple of days. I hope you all enjoy
